Mane Attraction Hair Salon is nominated for Customer Experience of the Year at the Welsh Beauty Industry Awards and Hairstylist of the Year at the UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2026.
Cramb launched the salon in September 2024 inside the Black Lion Inn after returning to hairdressing following a career change. He worked on improving his skills and set up a one-to-one service to give clients a more personal experience.
The approach has quickly gained popularity. Cramb said the salon initially had very few clients, but demand has grown steadily, and bookings are now full for up to two months in advance. He added that the recognition feels unexpected and rewarding.
His nomination for the customer experience category came through client votes. Cramb said he wanted to move away from the fast-paced nature of traditional salons and instead provide a calm, comfortable space. Clients can enjoy a quiet setting, choose their own music and take their time during appointments.
Alongside the award nominations, Cramb has been selected as part of the first UK team to join the Davines International Colour Genius Programme, which will take place in London in July.
Cramb said he continues to learn and improve his work, focusing on providing quality service and building his reputation.
