Background
M·A·C Cosmetics has teamed up with the resale fashion platform Depop for a creator-driven collaboration that blends beauty, fashion, and self-expression, aiming to connect with a younger audience.
The campaign centres on two of M·A·C’s key lipstick lines, Powder Kiss and MACximal Matte, and features curated, shoppable fashion edits created by Jordyn Woods and Leah Kateb. Each edit reflects the personality of a specific lipstick range and allows shoppers to purchase fashion items along with a matching M·A·C lipstick.
Jordyn Woods’ edit takes inspiration from the bold shades of MACximal Matte and shows strong, statement fashion pieces. In contrast, Leah Kateb’s Powder Kiss edit highlights softer shapes and romantic styles that match the lip range’s muted, blurred look. By pairing beauty with resale fashion, the brand gives shoppers a complete styling experience instead of just one product.
The collaboration also lets users use Depop’s in-app “Outfits” tool. They can create and share looks with special lipstick-themed backgrounds inspired by the campaign. Depop and M·A·C will reward selected entries with prizes, including MAC x Depop bundles and Depop shopping credit, encouraging community participation.
The brands will support the digital launch with an in-person event in New York City. They will set up a pop-up in Union Square with limited merchandise, give away products and feature appearances by the creators involved in the collaboration.
M·A·C created this partnership to connect with youth culture and changing shopping habits. By combining beauty with resale fashion and creator-led commerce, the brand joins conversations about sustainability, individuality, and creative expression, while using Depop’s community-driven platform to reach a new generation of shoppers.
