Background

Korean beauty and skincare startup KorinMi has raised ₹10 crore from Lotus Herbals’ innovation fund to expand its clinic network and grow its direct-to-consumer skincare business in India.

The funding will support the company’s plan to expand operations in major cities such as Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, as demand for premium skincare and K-beauty treatments continues to increase in India.

KorinMi was started in 2024 and currently runs three clinics in Gurugram. Since opening its first clinic in October 2024, the company has served more than 3,000 customers through personalised skincare, and haircare services.

The clinics use South Korean treatment methods along with skin analysis technology, dermatologists, and trained therapists. The company also makes Korean-style skincare products for Indian customers and follows a model that includes both clinics and direct sales.

The investment has come from Lotus Herbals as part of its US$50 million innovation fund, which supports new beauty and wellness startups.

Experts say the funding shows rising demand for personalised skincare and K-beauty services in India’s fast-growing beauty market. Increasing interest in advanced skincare treatments and clinic-based services is creating new opportunities for specialised brands.

The new funds will be used to open more clinics in growing urban markets and develop new products. The company also plans to strengthen its position in the premium skincare segment and grow its customer base across India.
