Kay Beauty, the Nykaa-backed makeup label co-founded by actor Katrina Kaif, celebrated one year in the UK with a Diwali beauty masterclass at the Space NK flagship on Oxford Circus in London.

The brand says its annualized net sales run rate stands at Rs 300 crore, roughly £24 million, and that it reached profit within its first year of operations.

Kaif traveled to London to meet fans and guide a session on the brand’s festive Gloss Up look. She also spoke about her beauty journey and the role of self-expression. Katrina said South Asian skin tones sit at the center of the brand’s range, which aims to deliver personal, inclusive makeup. British consumers who want to see themselves reflected in beauty products have responded well, she added.

Space NK has boosted the brand. Kay Beauty says it joined the retailer’s top five brands shortly after launch, and its 24H Kajal Liner sells well in the eye category. The label also topped TikTok Shop’s product ranks within six weeks of arriving in the UK.

Nearly three million consumers in India buy Kay Beauty, which calls itself the country’s largest celebrity-led beauty brand.

Adwaita Nayar, Nykaa co-founder and executive director and chief executive of House of Nykaa, said the first UK year marked a promising stage in the group’s global growth. She pointed to early TikTok Shop momentum and the Best New Brand award at the CEW UK Consumer Choice Awards 2026. She said the second year will deepen bonds with British shoppers.
