Burton and South Derbyshire College (BSDC) has started a new international partnership with South Korean skincare brand FATION to bring K-Beauty training into its beauty courses. The college aims to update its curriculum with global skincare trends and improve student skills for the beauty industry.

Senior leaders from Burton and South Derbyshire College traveled to South Korea and met with representatives from FATION, a skincare brand developed by Dong-A Pharm. Talks centered on bringing K-Beauty techniques, products, and training methods into UK education programs.

The partnership will give students the chance to learn modern skincare practices rooted in science and industry standards. It will also provide teachers with updated training materials and practical tools to support learning in classrooms and workshops.

FATION, developed by Dong-A Pharm, focuses on research-based skincare solutions for sensitive and problem skin. The brand uses clinically tested ingredients and works through its dermatology research centre to create products based on scientific studies.

BSDC said the collaboration will help strengthen links between education and the beauty industry. It will also support student development by improving job readiness and giving learners exposure to global beauty trends.

College leaders said the UK K-Beauty market is growing quickly, and this partnership will help students build skills that match industry demand. They added that working with an international skincare brand will improve practical training and prepare students for a competitive job market.

FATION representatives said the partnership will share decades of skincare research and build a long-term relationship with the college. They added that the collaboration marks the beginning of stronger cooperation in education and training.

BSDC continues to develop international partnerships to improve teaching quality, support staff training, and give students global learning exposure in technical education.
