Background-

Scent Beauty has appointed Yoana Land, a former L’Oréal finance leader, as its new chief financial officer as the fragrance company grows its portfolio and global business.

Land will lead the company’s overall financial strategy. She will support sustainable growth, strengthen operational capabilities and advance long-term strategic priorities.

Land joins after a decade at L’Oréal, where she held senior finance and transformation roles across North America and Asia. Her posts included division CFO, North Asia Zone CFO, digital and ecommerce CFO and CFO of the North America Transformation Office. Most recently, she advised Warburg portfolio companies.

Co-founder and CEO Stephen Mormoris said Land brings beauty industry experience, financial leadership and transformation expertise that make her a valuable addition. He said the company built its business on the belief that fragrance can keep pace with culture, and that Land has the strategic and operational skills to help scale that vision and open new opportunities.

The hire comes as the company adds fragrance brands through new partnerships and acquisitions, including Calliope by Megan Moroney, Sweet Tooth by Sabrina Carpenter and Untamed by Stetson. Singer Tate McRae also entered the fragrance category through a partnership with Scent Beauty.

Land said the company has built momentum by pairing creativity and innovation with a clear understanding of today’s fragrance shopper. She said she looks forward to working with Mormoris and the leadership team to build on that base and strengthen the organization as it scales.
