Background-
Argos has widened its beauty range by adding Medicube, Dermalogica and Clarins to its Trusted Seller marketplace. The UK retailer is bringing in K-beauty favorite Medicube, Unilever-owned Dermalogica and family-owned Clarins as it enters the health and beauty category.
The move follows a successful trial with 40 selected partners. It lifts the number of products from third-party sellers from 70,000 to more than 130,000 by the end of the year. More beauty brands are expected to join.
Graham Biggart, Managing Director at Argos, said the retailer has long been known for strong brands and own-brand products. He explained that Trusted Sellers adds thousands of new lines from brands and independent businesses, giving shoppers an even wider choice.
He said partner feedback has been very positive and called the rollout the biggest range expansion in the company’s history. Argos reviews every partner, so customers can count on each product meeting its standards.
Third-party sellers will fulfill orders, while shoppers will still earn Nectar loyalty points.
The retailer said the expansion offers a wider choice across more categories while keeping the convenience and trust customers expect. Biggart added that the goal is to let shoppers finish more of their shopping in one visit.
Shoppers can now browse skin care picks from global and heritage names alongside existing ranges. Argos runs online and physical stores, mostly inside Sainsbury’s supermarkets across the UK.
