Background

LVMH has appointed Yann Musquin as general manager of its fragrance brands, replacing Romain Spitzer, who headed the division for ten years and is now taking on the role of chief executive at Bottega Veneta.

Musquin carries 18 years of experience at LVMH into his new post. He currently holds the title of chief brand officer at Givenchy Parfums and Beauty, a role that has shaped his path toward this appointment.

His career at LVMH also includes marketing positions at Parfums Christian Dior, where he helped drive fragrance launches such as Sauvage. From there, he took on the role of fragrance and beauty director at Louis Vuitton, adding further experience across the group’s luxury brands.

As general manager, Musquin will shape the division’s overall strategy. His mandate covers building a stronger market position for Givenchy Parfums and Kenzo Parfums, alongside growing LVMH’s wider fragrance business.

He will report to Véronique Courtois, president and chief executive of Parfums Christian Dior and head of LVMH’s beauty division. Courtois took charge of the division after Stéphane Rinderknech stepped away from the role.

Courtois described Musquin’s fragrance knowledge, creative instincts, and familiarity with LVMH’s operations as strengths that suit him well for the position.

Musquin’s appointment becomes effective August 3, signaling a fresh chapter for LVMH’s fragrance business as the group works to sharpen its approach across beauty and perfume brands.
